United States · exact 2027 bZ/Woodland and 2026 C-HR EPA configurations
Toyota EV Range Calculator
Plan a Toyota battery-electric journey using the exact vehicle configuration. The bZ and bZ Woodland references use 2027 EPA records; C-HR references use 2026. An owner baseline supports older bZ4X vehicles or other markets.

Plan a charge window
Select your measured range to enter a vehicle-specific baseline. Published presets are locked to their cited values.
100% makes no adjustment. Enter a factor supported by your experience for weather, speed, load and route combined. This is your assumption; the tool does not predict those effects.
Estimated distance within your charge window
505.3 km · no adjustment applied
Published baseline × your assumptions. This result is a planning scenario, not a new official range rating.
For the 314-mile first preset, leaving at 80% and reserving 10% makes 70% of the charge available: 219.8 miles before your conditions adjustment.
A 0% reserve is the mathematical full-range default. Set a practical arrival reserve before planning a trip, and follow the vehicle’s route and charging guidance.

| Configuration | Range | Test cycle and source |
|---|---|---|
| 2027 bZ XLE FWD Plus · EPA energy capacity 191 Ah | 314 mi | EPA · EPA record 50864 |
| 2027 bZ XLE FWD · EPA energy capacity 200 Ah | 236 mi | EPA · EPA record 50863 |
| 2027 bZ XLE AWD | 288 mi | EPA · EPA record 50865 |
| 2027 bZ Limited AWD | 278 mi | EPA · EPA record 50866 |
| 2027 bZ Limited FWD | 299 mi | EPA · EPA record 50867 |
| 2027 bZ Woodland AWD · 235/60R 18 tyres | 281 mi | EPA · EPA record 50868 |
| 2027 bZ Woodland AWD · 235/65R 18 tyres | 260 mi | EPA · EPA record 50869 |
| 2026 C-HR AWD · 18-inch wheels | 287 mi | EPA · EPA record 50307 |
| 2026 C-HR AWD · 20-inch wheels | 273 mi | EPA · EPA record 50308 |
bZ and Woodland use current 2027 EPA records; C-HR entries are explicitly 2026. Toyota’s current 2027 bZ FAQ supports the retail trim mapping for the two FWD records whose EPA labels use Ah. Match your window sticker, tyre size and model year. Published ratings do not establish stock availability.
bZ, Woodland and C-HR need their own references
EPA records distinguish the 2027 bZ and bZ Woodland, plus the 2026 C-HR, including tyre or wheel variations. Woodland records are 281 miles for 235/60R 18 tyres and 260 for 235/65R 18 tyres. C-HR records are 287 miles with 18-inch wheels and 273 with 20-inch wheels. The table retains these configurations rather than adding a generic all-terrain or wheel penalty.
The Toyota website now displays 2027 bZ
Toyota’s current bZ page and FAQ show 2027 trim figures. The bZ and Woodland entries now match the 2027 EPA registry, while C-HR entries remain explicitly 2026. Check the model year on your paperwork; a familiar 314-mile headline alone is not enough to identify the correct record.
Why Ah is not a range calculation
Ampere-hours describe charge capacity, not kilowatt-hours or travel distance by themselves. Voltage, usable energy and vehicle efficiency are also relevant. This page preserves the EPA’s Ah labels as identifiers; it does not convert them into an invented usable battery capacity.
Calibrating an older bZ4X
Use recent journeys similar to the route you want to plan. Record actual distance and the change in displayed state of charge rather than using a single dashboard range prediction as a battery-health test. Several readings reduce the influence of one unusual trip. Enter the full-charge equivalent under the owner option.
Keep the conditions factor at 100% if your measurement already reflects winter, route and load. A new deduction for each of those effects would count them twice. For a new route, combine this calculation with the vehicle’s navigation and a charging stop you can actually use.
Do not mix in a Toyota hybrid
A Corolla or RAV4 hybrid’s petrol distance does not belong in a battery-electric charge-window formula. For a plug-in hybrid, start with its separate electric-only range and use the PHEV calculator to account for both electricity and fuel.
Calculation method and owner calibration
Distance = full-charge range × conditions factor ÷ 100 × (starting charge − arrival reserve) ÷ 100
The formula assumes distance scales approximately with usable state of charge. It models neither a charging curve nor changing wind, elevation, cabin energy or road conditions. The conditions factor is an explicit user assumption; it is not a validated model-specific weather forecast.
To create an owner baseline, divide a representative trip’s distance by the fraction of charge used. For example, 90 miles using 40 percentage points gives an approximate 225-mile full-charge equivalent. Repeat on comparable journeys. Small charge changes and rounded dashboard readings can make a single short trip misleading.
A 225-mile owner baseline, 80% conditions factor and 80% to 10% charge window gives 126.0 miles: 225 × 0.80 × 0.70. Keep the factor at 100% if the baseline already represents the journey, battery condition and load. This page applies no automatic battery-age penalty, heat-pump bonus or universal temperature multiplier.
Published presets are locked to their source values. Choose the owner option to enter your own full-charge range. The 0% reserve default only shows the complete mathematical baseline; set a practical reserve before planning a trip.
Questions Toyota owners ask
Why do the bZ presets include Ah labels?
Those labels identify two FWD entries in the 2027 EPA database. Toyota’s current FAQ identifies the 314-mile trim as XLE FWD Plus and the 236-mile trim as XLE FWD. Match your own window sticker.
Do all Toyota presets use the same model year?
No. This page uses 2027 bZ and bZ Woodland records and 2026 C-HR records. Every configuration label shows its year.
Can this be used for a Toyota petrol hybrid?
No. The formula scales battery-electric distance by charge percentage. A petrol hybrid or plug-in hybrid needs its appropriate powertrain calculation.
