Cadillac EV Range Calculator: Find Your Real World Range
Choose the named LYRIQ, OPTIQ, VISTIQ or CELESTIQ configuration before planning the distance between charging stops. This calculator keeps the published range separate from the charge you intend to use and from evidence collected in your own vehicle.
Sources checked: . Ratings describe named test configurations. Results below are planning scenarios, not measured road tests.
Plan your available charge
Published values are locked to the cited record. Choose your measured range to enter a full-charge equivalent from comparable trips in your own vehicle.
100% leaves the baseline unchanged. Any other value is your assumption for the combined trip conditions. This tool does not infer weather, speed, heating or battery condition.
Include diversions. If there is no planned recharge, include the return distance too. The result cannot confirm a working charger or a passable route.
Distance within your charge window
Add a leg distance to estimate arrival charge and distance margin.
Published baseline × your assumptions. This is a planning scenario, not a new official range rating.
The default 100% departure and 0% reserve displays the full mathematical baseline. It is not a charging recommendation. Choose your intended departure charge and a practical reserve before planning a journey.
Verified baseline references
These model-year 2026 US EPA records retain their exact configuration names, including the 11 kW and 19 kW charger labels. A charger label identifies a tested configuration; its power rating is not a range multiplier. ESCALADE IQ owners can use a measured baseline. No manufacturer-estimated ESCALADE figure is presented here as an EPA certification.

Cadillac: the package matters as well as the badge
OPTIQ and OPTIQ-V have different certified configurations. Cadillac’s 2026 specification page gives the V model 278 miles with standard 11.5 kW charging and 250 miles with Charging and Convenience Package 2. The EPA names in this table use 11 kW and 19 kW labels. Choose the record that matches your vehicle’s equipment; do not assume every OPTIQ-V has the larger figure.
A similar check is necessary for LYRIQ. The 2026 EPA entries distinguish LYRIQ AWD at 303 miles from LYRIQ PAWD at 319 miles. We retain those recorded names rather than assigning one rating to every AWD vehicle. Compare the model year and exact range label on the vehicle before selecting a preset.
Separate charging equipment from the distance budget
AC charging power describes how energy can be added when connected to a suitable supply. It does not multiply the miles already available in the battery. Equipment packages can nevertheless have their own certified range. The table illustrates this distinction: both listed RWD LYRIQ charger configurations have 326-mile ratings, while the two VISTIQ records have different ratings. A universal penalty for a 19 kW charger would misrepresent these records.
For a family trip, record your intended departure charge, the distance to the next usable charger and the reserve you want at that stop. Cadillac’s electric-life guidance links trip and charging support. Confirm connector compatibility and charging access for your specific vehicle; neither is inferred from the Cadillac brand name.
If your ordinary motorway journeys consistently differ from the selected rating, enter a measured full-charge equivalent from those journeys. Keep a separate record for substantially different luggage or driving conditions. This makes an owner’s experience usable without inventing a fixed winter or battery-age deduction.
Compare two OPTIQ-V charge budgets
At an 80% departure and 10% reserve, the 278-mile OPTIQ V SERIES 11 kW record provides 194.6 miles before conditions adjustment. The 250-mile 19 kW record provides 175.0 miles under the same assumptions. For a 170-mile leg, those scenarios arrive at about 18.8% and 12.0% respectively. This is a comparison of two named EPA configurations, not a claim that charging power alone causes the difference.
Calculation method and owner calibration
Usable distance = baseline × conditions factor ÷ 100 × (starting charge − reserve) ÷ 100
Arrival charge = starting charge − leg distance ÷ (baseline × conditions factor ÷ 100) × 100
The method assumes distance scales approximately with the charge used. It does not model changing speed, wind, elevation, traffic, parked energy use, battery temperature or auxiliary loads. The conditions factor is an explicit assumption; no automatic age, temperature or equipment coefficient is applied.
To estimate an owner baseline, divide the distance of a representative journey by the fraction of charge used, with no recharge between readings. For example, 75 miles using 30 percentage points gives approximately 250 miles as a full-charge equivalent. Repeat with several comparable journeys. Use factor 100% when your measured baseline already describes the planned conditions, so the same effects are not counted twice.
A positive margin only means the arithmetic reaches your chosen reserve under these assumptions. A negative margin means the chosen distance exceeds that charge budget. Confirm route and charging conditions with the vehicle’s guidance; this tool does not diagnose the battery.
Questions Cadillac owners ask
Why are there two OPTIQ-V range presets?
Cadillac lists 278 miles with standard 11.5 kW charging and 250 miles with Charging and Convenience Package 2. The EPA records use 11 kW and 19 kW configuration names. Match your vehicle's package and range label.
Does a 19 kW onboard charger automatically reduce Cadillac range?
No universal deduction is applied. Select the certified equipment configuration. For example, the two listed RWD LYRIQ charger configurations both have 326-mile EPA ratings, while other equipment configurations differ.
Can I use this for an ESCALADE IQ?
Use your measured full-charge equivalent as the baseline. The preset table is a named selection of 2026 EPA records and does not substitute a manufacturer estimate for an unlisted vehicle's certification.
