Plan a charge window
Select your measured range to enter a vehicle-specific baseline. Published presets are locked to their cited values.
100% makes no adjustment. Enter a factor supported by your experience for weather, speed, load and route combined. This is your assumption; the tool does not predict those effects.
Estimated distance within your charge window
487.6 km · no adjustment applied
Published baseline × your assumptions. This result is a planning scenario, not a new official range rating.
For the 303-mile first preset, leaving at 80% and reserving 10% makes 70% of the charge available: 212.1 miles before your conditions adjustment.
A 0% reserve is the mathematical full-range default. Set a practical arrival reserve before planning a trip, and follow the vehicle’s route and charging guidance.

The 2026 LEAF wheel records correspond to Nissan’s S+, SV+ and Platinum+ range table. Older LEAF and ARIYA entries keep their 2025 EPA labels and serve owners or used-car comparisons. A listed rating does not establish new-car availability. Other markets can use their exact official range or measured owner baseline.
The 2026 LEAF is not the earlier LEAF range table
Nissan’s 2026 US specification table gives 303 miles for S+, 288 for SV+ and 259 for Platinum+. These match the 75 kWh EPA records distinguished by 18-inch steel, 18-inch alloy and 19-inch wheels. The selector keeps those differences explicit.
Earlier LEAF owners: measure the current vehicle
For an older LEAF, original official range describes the vehicle when rated, while a recent measured baseline describes your own trips now. The latter can reflect battery condition and use without inventing a fixed loss for every year of age. Keep records over several comparable journeys and avoid extrapolating from only a few percentage points of charge.
A dashboard distance forecast can respond to recent driving. It is useful in the vehicle, but it is not a laboratory battery-capacity measurement. If an unexpected change needs diagnosis, use the vehicle’s service and battery information instead of treating this planner as a state-of-health test.
ARIYA: match battery, drive and wheels
The 2025 ARIYA EPA entries separate FWD and e-4ORCE AWD, battery sizes and Platinum+ wheel versions. Use the complete table label or your window sticker. This page preserves those 2025 references rather than claiming a database entry proves current retail availability.
Charging compatibility across generations
Do not choose a charging stop from the LEAF name alone. Check the exact vehicle’s connector and AC/DC charging requirements in its manual, and match them to the charging site. A range comparison does not tell you which adapter is approved or whether a location supports your car.
For a journey with scarce charging options, use a reserve that leaves a reachable alternative. A measured commuter baseline may not represent motorway speeds, a strong headwind or several winter stops. Recheck the vehicle’s arrival estimate and the charger’s status as the journey develops.
Calculation method and owner calibration
Distance = full-charge range × conditions factor ÷ 100 × (starting charge − arrival reserve) ÷ 100
The formula assumes distance scales approximately with usable state of charge. It models neither a charging curve nor changing wind, elevation, cabin energy or road conditions. The conditions factor is an explicit user assumption; it is not a validated model-specific weather forecast.
To create an owner baseline, divide a representative trip’s distance by the fraction of charge used. For example, 90 miles using 40 percentage points gives an approximate 225-mile full-charge equivalent. Repeat on comparable journeys. Small charge changes and rounded dashboard readings can make a single short trip misleading.
A 225-mile owner baseline, 80% conditions factor and 80% to 10% charge window gives 126.0 miles: 225 × 0.80 × 0.70. Keep the factor at 100% if the baseline already represents the journey, battery condition and load. This page applies no automatic battery-age penalty, heat-pump bonus or universal temperature multiplier.
Published presets are locked to their source values. Choose the owner option to enter your own full-charge range. The 0% reserve default only shows the complete mathematical baseline; set a practical reserve before planning a trip.
Questions Nissan owners ask
What ranges are used for the 2026 LEAF?
The US Nissan table and EPA records give 303 miles for S+ with 18-inch steel wheels, 288 for SV+ with 18-inch alloy wheels and 259 for Platinum+ with 19-inch wheels.
Can I apply the 2026 LEAF rating to an older LEAF?
No. Use the exact original model-year rating or a measured baseline for the older car. The new 75 kWh configurations are separate vehicles.
Are ARIYA presets a claim that new 2026 cars are available?
No. This selector deliberately keeps its owner-reference ARIYA records labeled 2025. Published ratings and retail availability are separate questions.
