Genesis EV Range Calculator

Choose the exact Genesis electric model, then calculate a charge window. The GV60 RWD, AWD, Prestige and Magma have different published baselines; the Electrified GV70 has a separate EPA vehicle record.

Sources checked: . 2027 US values are separated from earlier model years. This tool uses the EPA 250-mile record for the 2027 Electrified GV70.

Plan a charge window

Select your measured range to enter a vehicle-specific baseline. Published presets are locked to their cited values.

100% makes no adjustment. Enter a factor supported by your experience for weather, speed, load and route combined. This is your assumption; the tool does not predict those effects.

Estimated distance within your charge window

306.0 miles

492.5 km · no adjustment applied

Published baseline × your assumptions. This result is a planning scenario, not a new official range rating.

A 2027 GV60 RWD baseline is 306 miles; the cited AWD and Prestige baselines are 282 and 267 miles. Selecting a model applies its published value before your own conditions factor.

A 0% reserve is the mathematical full-range default. Set a practical arrival reserve before planning a trip, and follow the vehicle’s route and charging guidance.

The GV60 values come from the current US trim specifications. The Electrified GV70 preset uses the EPA model record; do not substitute an earlier-year 263-mile specification.

Choose the exact Genesis model

Genesis’s 2027 US GV60 specifications list 306 miles for RWD, 282 for AWD and 267 for Prestige AWD. Choosing the headline maximum for every trim would overstate the lower-rated configurations. The 2027 GV60 Magma page separately gives 222 miles; its performance specification does not share the regular GV60 RWD range.

Why this GV70 preset is 250 miles

The EPA’s 2027 Electrified GV70 AWD record (50634) gives 250 miles of electric range. The current manufacturer model page also shows 250 in its specification sections, although its FAQ contains a conflicting 263-mile figure. This tool uses the primary EPA record consistently in the selector, table and calculation.

“GV70” also names combustion-engine vehicles. Check for the Electrified GV70 designation before using an electric baseline. A prior model year should use its own label or an owner-measured value rather than the 2027 entry.

Charging speed is a separate question

A quoted charging time does not set the distance available on your next journey. Your starting charge, arrival reserve, route and recent consumption do. When comparing fast charging, match the state-of-charge interval and charger conditions instead of using a peak-power number as a sustained average.

Calibrate with a repeatable route

For commuting, record several round trips with the same wheels and approximate cruising speed. Use the trip distance and charge consumed to build a full-charge equivalent. For road trips, use comparable highway observations rather than a city-only baseline. Leave the conditions factor at 100% if your owner baseline already includes the weather and speed expected on the planned route.

Calculation method

Distance = full-charge range × conditions factor ÷ 100 × (starting charge − arrival reserve) ÷ 100

The charge-window calculation assumes distance scales approximately with usable state of charge. It does not model the battery’s charging curve, elevation, wind, auxiliary loads, or changing route conditions. No age-based degradation rate, heat-pump bonus, or temperature penalty is added automatically.

To calibrate an owner baseline, divide the distance of a representative trip by the fraction of charge used. For example, 90 miles using 40 percentage points of charge gives an approximate 225-mile full-charge equivalent. Use several comparable trips rather than one short journey. Keep the conditions factor at 100% when those trips already match the journey you are planning.

Questions Genesis owners ask

Which Genesis GV60 has the longest range in these presets?

The cited 2027 US GV60 RWD has an EPA-estimated 306-mile baseline. The AWD is 282 miles, Prestige AWD is 267 miles, and GV60 Magma is 222 miles. The values are configuration-specific.

Why does this calculator use 250 miles for the 2027 Electrified GV70?

EPA vehicle record 50634 lists the 2027 Electrified GV70 AWD at 250 miles. The manufacturer specification sections agree, while a manufacturer FAQ shows a conflicting 263-mile value. This calculator uses the EPA record throughout.

Does this tool apply to a petrol Genesis GV70?

No. The electric preset is for the Electrified GV70 AWD. The GV70 name also covers combustion-engine models, which need their own fuel-consumption calculation.
