RZ and ES: two distinct electric choices
The 2026 Lexus RZ US page identifies three powertrains: RZ 350e front-wheel drive, RZ 450e all-wheel drive and RZ 550e F SPORT all-wheel drive. Its range figures are labeled manufacturer estimates. The presets preserve that status and the specified wheel sizes.
The electric ES is a separate sedan. Lexus’s US ES release gives EPA-estimated ratings of 307 miles for ES 350e FWD and 276 miles for ES 500e AWD with standard 19-inch wheels. The ES 350h is a hybrid and is excluded from the battery-electric selector.
Match the badge before matching the number
RZ 450e is the battery-electric AWD model in this US lineup; “RZ 450e+” is not the designation used by the cited page. A Lexus with a plug-in hybrid powertrain has a different calculation problem: part of a journey may use electricity and part may use petrol. Use the PHEV cost calculator for that comparison.
Owner calibration for an RZ or ES
Save several journeys with the same wheels, approximate cruising speed and climate settings. Compare charge used against distance instead of treating the dashboard’s current guess as a battery-capacity test. If the trips already describe your expected route and weather, enter their full-charge equivalent and leave the conditions factor at 100%. This avoids applying the same winter or highway effect twice.
For a model from a different year or country, begin with its own official rating. This tool deliberately does not convert a European WLTP number into an estimated EPA number.
Calculation method
Distance = full-charge range × conditions factor ÷ 100 × (starting charge − arrival reserve) ÷ 100
The charge-window calculation assumes distance scales approximately with usable state of charge. It does not model the battery’s charging curve, elevation, wind, auxiliary loads, or changing route conditions. No age-based degradation rate, heat-pump bonus, or temperature penalty is added automatically.
To calibrate an owner baseline, divide the distance of a representative trip by the fraction of charge used. For example, 90 miles using 40 percentage points of charge gives an approximate 225-mile full-charge equivalent. Use several comparable trips rather than one short journey. Keep the conditions factor at 100% when those trips already match the journey you are planning.

Can I select RZ 450e+?
